ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN CHURCH ENDOWMENT FUND
The Endowment Fund Board met on Sunday January 23, 2005 after the morning worship. Members present were: John Barker, Shirley Sunderman, Jim White, Nedra Mekelburg & Pastor Broecker.
John reported that we received a check from Farmland Industries in the amount of $1,161.20 with another check to follow in June.
The $15,000 we had allotted for investment has been taken care of as follows: $5,000 with Thrivent; $5,000 with Edward Jones and $5,000 with the Bank of Colorado. After John talked with Clara Keller at the Bank of Colorado it was decided to invest that $5,000 in a 13 month C.D. at 3%. Clara informed John that the Power Index C.D. is not available for purchase at this time and she doesn’t know when they will be available. It was decided to disburse $2,000 to the furnace fund at this time also.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
